Post Election Campus Climate, 2016, Photo and edited Audio Interview, Collected by New Media Students
After any presidential election, emotions run high. But after the 2016 election, the climate on the St. Olaf College campus seemed particularly tumultuous. The students of the Foundations of New Media class came together to create a collaborative project that would work to create an understanding of the people we are surrounded by every day and to work towards a healing experience.
Starting by conducting interviews and photoshoots, editing the materials as a class, and ending with a display in a public campus space, the exhibit is interactive and allows students to come together to appreciate and understand the diverse views found on their campus.
